Link Logistics Real Estate (“Link”) is an industrial real estate operating platform owned by The Blackstone Group Inc.  Link currently manages a national portfolio of high-quality, well-located industrial assets totaling over 397 million square feet throughout the U.S. 

 

The AVP, SEC Reporting is responsible and oversees all aspects of the financial reporting department working closely with firm leadership to ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and regulatory compliance. The financial reporting team obtain the underlying financial information from the accounting system and prepare U.S. GAAP compliant financial statements ready for audit purposes and to present GAAP information for internal and other external reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for managing the accurate and timely preparation of multiple financial statements under U.S. GAAP reporting standards.
  • Uphold all required financial reporting internal control processes to support the provision of accurate financial reporting.
  • Work closely with key management personnel regarding financial statement matters and reviews of draft financial statements.
  • Be key liaison with Company’s external auditors and ensure provision of required audit documentation. Further manage communication with the external auditors on key matters impacting the external financial statements to ensure agreement with company decisions.
  • Research and understand changes in GAAP and regulatory requirements. Prepare policy documentation and management reporting as needed on such changes. Provide training on impacts to wider accounting team.
  • Provide coaching and training to Financial reporting staff for the performance of their jobs and to foster and provide a collaborative team environment to enable individual development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience in Financial Reporting Roles and functions
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Good technical understanding of US GAAP
  • An attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Real Estate Industry (preferred)
  • Yardi experience (preferred)
  • BA/ BS in relevant field and active CPA
