Corporate Controller

Link Logistics Real Estate (“Link”) is an industrial real estate operating platform owned by The Blackstone Group Inc.  Link currently manages a national portfolio of high-quality, well-located industrial assets totaling over 400 million square feet throughout the U.S. 

 

The Corporate Controller is responsible for corporate G&A, and supervision of the monthly close process, billings for management fees, monthly reporting to senior management for G&A departmental allocations, budget to actual variances.  The Corporate Controller will be also responsible for quarterly reforecast, and annual budget preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Implement a process to record transactions by department and compare costs incurred to budget and performance analysis of profit centers
  • Review and recordation of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity
  • Preparation of workpapers supporting the monthly close process and month end balances
  • Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and related footnotes
  • Preparation of the year to date cash flow
  • Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances
  • Preparation of monthly reforecast incorporating historical results and future assumptions
  • Preparation of semi-monthly payroll
  • Supervise the billing of asset management, incentive fees, acquisition, disposition, QPAM and other fees monthly, quarterly, annually in accordance with the respective agreements
  • Review of management fee incurred on behalf of multiple entities such as property management costs, accounting services, etc.
  • Assist in the implementation of corporate policies and procedures such as invoice processing, cash management and calculation of fees
  • Accurate and timely production of all financial information
  • Proper analytical review of the asset operations from a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow perspective as well as an overall business perspective
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Accounting degree preferred.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • 15+ years of public accounting experience, real estate and/or financial services preferred.
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and computer skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, works well under pressure and possess the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Specialize in business accounting and maintaining financial records.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus.
