Link Logistics Real Estate (“Link”) owns and operates the largest U.S.-only portfolio of logistics real estate, leasing warehouse space to everyone from e-commerce giants to mom-and-pop shops. Established by Blackstone in 2019, we combine scale, cutting-edge technology, and logistics expertise to help our customers grow their businesses. Our portfolio includes more than 500 million square feet in dynamic markets nationwide. About 5 percent of U.S. GDP—translating to some $1 trillion every year—flows through the space Link customers occupy in our facilities.
Because we believe that good business must be synonymous with doing good, strong environmental, social and governance practices are foundational to our identity as a firm. These practices include setting ambitious goals to combat climate change, partnering with local nonprofits, and prioritizing internal diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. We seek to use our position, ideas and influence to drive progress in our industry and the wider world. At Link, we give our customers space to grow—and we give people space to grow, too.
This position will be a key connection point between the data science processes designed by Link’s Research & Analytics team and the testing and monitoring of these processes by the Tech & Data team. The role offers the opportunity to manage complex existing processes as well as develop a data science skillset via in-depth, ad hoc data science projects.
Link’s research department is the largest and most successful research effort among Blackstone’s many portfolio companies. The group’s efforts began with using data science models to set and project market rents for all US industrial assets, infrastructure that is now being used by Link and Blackstone in key industrial budgeting and investment decision making processes. The team’s efforts have expanded into broader fundamental logistics research, helping Link management to forge a deep understanding of the long-term drivers of industrial real estate demand and building relationships and expertise in the realms of automation, warehouse management, and logistics. Link wishes to further expand and publicize these efforts in the coming year, making the research department a world-renowned player in fundamental industrial research and logistics expertise.
