This position will be responsible for developing quantitative methods to deepen and enhance the fundamental real estate and supply chain research conducted by Link’s Research & Analytics team. The role offers the opportunity to leverage complex existing data science processes and to add new quantitative approaches.


Link’s research department is the largest and most successful research effort among Blackstone’s many portfolio companies. The group’s efforts began with using data science models to set and project market rents for all US industrial assets, infrastructure that is now being used by Link and Blackstone in key industrial budgeting and investment decision making processes. The team’s efforts have expanded into broader fundamental logistics research, helping Link management to forge a deep understanding of the long-term drivers of industrial real estate demand and building relationships and expertise in the realms of automation, warehouse management, and logistics.


  • Build analytical models using the R or Python programming languages to help us understand, predict, and forecast rents and other relevant metrics for our portfolio
  • Establish a deep understanding of industrial real estate and overall logistics fundamentals, thereby helping to formulate and execute new and actionable research projects in the field
    • Generate creative new ideas for research topics
    • Challenge our existing assumptions
  • Serve as a point of connection between specific, qualitative insights and the quantitative methods that can help to generalize these insights
  • Build a framework for assessing the most important factors for metro area demand growth, using a combination of publicly available and proprietary data
  • Prepare visualizations that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Ad hoc analytical support: Provide broader analytical support to the SVP of Research & Analytics


  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Deep, analytical, independent thinker
  • Familiarity with Bayesian statistics
  • Basic coding skills


$140,000 - $180,000 represents the presently anticipated compensation pay range for this position at Link.  Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
